What’s Brewing in the Seacoast? Week of 12-12
This being a blog about beer/wine in the Seacoast, I consider it my job to keep you informed on weekly happenings in the area. Here are some events and other goings on this week.
The Portsmouth Brewery is hosting their annual Pint Club Holiday Party on Wednesday 12/14. Those who don a Pint Club card can go to the downstairs lounge at the Brewery between the hours of 11:30am and close and have some free beer and food. I have been the past two years and I can definitely say this is an event you can not miss. The Pint Club is a $2/month ($24/year) membership that gives you 4 more ounces of beer all year and this party, along with discounts at the gift shop. This party makes up for the charge of the membership.
Black Birch Opened
This past week Kittery got another reason to visit downtown, The Black Birch. This restaurant official had its full week last week and I visited on Friday for dinner. While their food menu was solid (I recommend the Dip sandwich), their draft list is as good as one gets in this area! I enjoyed a Weyerbacher Sierra Stout and a Liberal Cup Chazmo Altbier. You’ll also see some rarer ones as well as familiar ones like Southern Tier IPA and Maine Beer Company Peeper.
