Beer: Censored Rich Copper Ale
Brewer: Lagunitas
Style: American Amber/ Red Ale
ABV: 6.75%

So far Lagunitas has knocked it out of the park for me. I love their Brown Shuggah and their Lil Summpin. It’s tough when I try a brewery’s beer for the first time and they start out on a high note. It can only get worse, right? Sort of. Today’s beverage of choice is their Censored Rich Copper Ale. It pours very clear orange with little white head. Aroma of caramel malt, nothing too distinct, maybe some nuts and some hops. The taste is pretty malty. You can taste the citrus from hops but not much else over the slight metallic taste. Maybe I had the name ‘copper’ stuck in my mind while drinking it. This was a smooth beer and a little filling. Censored is nothing to shake a stick at but its nothing bad. Those looking for a behind the scenes beer this would be the one, but don’t let it shape your opinion of Lagunitas if you haven’t had any other beers from them.

Review: Worth a Try. Not for me but there’s gotta be some people who like it.

That’s all for now, have a great weekend!
Cheers,
B
