Weekend Update: Table and Vine
All of your weekends going well? If your around the Seacoast it should because Portsmouth Brewery Hop Harvest 1 & 2 are on tap and flowing great! Thanks to my girlfriend for designating which Hop Harvest is which. #1 is definitely less hoppier than #2 due to the type and amount of hops. I prefer #2 however the flavor of #1 is really nice!
This weekend I went to the Big E aka Massachusetts State Fair. Huge fair with a building for each state in New England. Beer nods go to Vermont for having a Long Trail / Otter Creek booth in the Vermont Building and a nice Magic Hat booth in the midway. After getting my clam fritters from Rhode Island and showing my girlfriend the wonder that is the Maine Baked Potato we finished walking around the huge fair and headed home. 3 miles down the road is the biggest Beer/Wine/Liquor store in Western,MA, Table & Vine. I didn’t have a list prepared which is never good but I was excited to see what they had. They have a WIDE variety of beer that it was heart breaking not to take em all home. I felt like someone in a pet shop looking at all the cute puppies but I know better to take em all home with me, I had to be choosy today.
Check out the goods. From left to right (links for more info):
Had to grab a 6 of this. I loved it when I had it during March Madness and its always nice to have a 6 pack from your hometown area to share with friends up here in the Seacoast (that is if they last long enough for me to give them out 🙂 )
Ever since I was introduced to the Black IPA from the Portsmouth Brewery I was looking for another one to try. I cam across the bottle and gave it a once over and decided to take a shot with it. Currently it sits on my beer shelf on deck to be put in the fridge.
I don’t know much about it but I was in the mood for a couple fall seasonals to kick off the new season. Looking forward to it.
@q4wine suggested this brew since it showed up recently at Table & Vine. The Beer Nut seemed to enjoy it as well so I can’t wait to crack this ope. It currently is chilling in the fridge to be opened soon!
Not the biggest Pumpkin beer fan but I read a lot about this in the blogs I read so I figured I would pick it up.
I had my first taste of Yeti a couple years back at Bukowski’s Tavern in Boston and ever since then that Yeti has been on my mind. I am a big advocate for coffee beer and imperial stouts so I will let this one res ton the shelf until the right time;.
Along with Namaste, this was recommended to me. This is a collaboration beer named after a book. Review to come!
There you have it. Can’t wait to dig in to all of the above. Currently at the time of this writing I couldn’t resist cracking into a Paper City brew to watch the premier of Saturday Night Live. Have a great end to the weekend!
